Raised in a family where music is both legacy and lifeblood, sisters Leah (20), Lily (15), and Lilah (11) create under the name Sad Dad Autumn. Blending alternative indie, dark folk, and post-rock textures into a sound both mythic and intimate, their music explores grief, denial, and the strange beauty that lingers at the edge of endings. Through layered harmonies and cinematic atmosphere, they build worlds where folklore and cosmic imagery intertwine.

In June 2025, the trio released their debut EP The Blackbird Manor Sessions, introducing listeners to their moody harmonies and genre-blurring approach. The EP earned local attention through festival performances and playlist features, laying the groundwork for their next chapter.

That chapter began with Alpha Cas (Sept 19, 2025, via The Big Dark Records), a cosmic retelling of the Cassiopeia myth that rises from earthy folk into dreamlike crescendos. Their follow-up single, Gut Punch (Oct 10, 2025), is a more intimate track that captures the feeling of late-night heartbreak—indie folk woven with dreamy synths.

Both singles offer an entry point into The Great Dying (arriving Nov 2025), Sad Dad Autumn’s debut full-length album. This ambitious project expands the trio’s sonic palette, moving between folk intimacy, indie grit, and cinematic expanse.
